The Kimberley Ports Authority has finalised a 50 year Master Plan covering the Ports of Broome, Derby, Yampi Sound and Wyndham.
Consultants Black Quay prepared the plan in liaison with current and potential port customers, port managers, government agencies, Indigenous groups and Chambers of Commerce throughout the Kimberley.
A diverse range of industries rely on the regional ports in the Kimberley including tourism, agriculture and aquaculture, resources, general and bulk cargoes.
Growth in these trade sectors will trigger specific port developments to respond to shipping opportunities and prospective new industries.
